HI Friends have been given the opportunity by Big Give to participate in their 2024 Christmas Challenge: all donations made from midday on Tuesday 3rd to midday on Tuesday 10th of December will be matched, supporting two key areas of our work:
Mental wellbeing of local primary-age children through the Flourishing Start Programme
A locally produced programme, delivered in local primary schools by the HI Friends Mental Wellbeing Worker. The programme helps primary aged children and their parents to talk about and manage wellbeing by providing tools, techniques and space.
Memory Loss Support groups: two weekly groups supporting those living with memory loss and their families/carers
A place to socialise, learn from others, enjoy activities, and receive information from speakers to provide tools and strategies to live with dementia.
Donations of up to a total of £2,000 will be matched, potentially raising £4,000 to support HI Friends’ work in the community.
