The work of HI Friends is heavily dependent both on a committed body of volunteers, who give their time to help at our fundraising events and activities.
We also rely on a few dedicated individuals who support our work through one-off gifts or regular donations to the charity. These gifts, however large or small, have a real impact on the services and activities we deliver. For example, a gift may help to support the work of the wellbeing team in our community or a specific role e.g. helping to support children/young people with their mental health or the dementia support worker, or alternatively it could be saved and put towards the cost of replacing the minibus at a future date.
We are grateful for all donations and there are a number of ways to donate:

50 pence in every £1 spent goes to HI Friends and prizes can be up to £25,000!
- One-off donation – you can give to general funds or to a particular project or activity through a one-off gift by online bank transfer to our bank account or using the CAF donate link. If you would like your gift to be used towards a particular aspect of our work, please include this in the reference or get in contact with us.
- Regular giving – you can help HI Friends maintain and develop its services by becoming a regular donor and paying direct into our bank account via Standing Order or using CAF donate. If you would like your gift to be used towards a particular aspect of our work, please include this in the reference or get in touch with us.

Gift Aid If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your gift worth 25% more by completing a Gift Aid form. For every £20 you give, HI Friends can claim an extra £5 in Gift Aid. Please use the Gift Aid Form so that we can claim the extra or if you donate through CAF donate this will claim Gift Aid on HI Friend’s behalf.

This means over 8,000 retailers will donate to us for no extra cost every time you use easyfundraising to shop with them through the easyfundraising browser extension. Gifts in Memory – many people prefer that donations are made to a charity instead of giving flowers at a funeral. A really special way to honour a loved one and celebrate their life is to choose to support the services of HI Friends. Your funeral director will be happy to organise this for you and once all the donations have been received, we can let you know how much was given.
Gifts in wills – when making your will you will firstly want to make sure that those closest to you are provided for. But you may also feel able to help support the services of HI Friends so that others may benefit now and in the future.
