Friends of Histon & Impington Community CIO is a registered charity and its registered number is 1185578. The Charity also has a working title of HI Friends which has been agreed and registered by the Charity Commission.

The Charity is a Foundation CIO and has a Constitution as its Governing document. The Charity has a Board of Trustees and as a Foundation CIO also has a Charity Membership.

A charity member plays an important role in the Governance of HI Friends particularly at the Charity Annual General Meeting and other Special Charity Meetings that may be held. Find out more about becoming an active member.

HI Friends has the following policies in place to ensure the smooth running of operations, a clear framework for decision-making, accountability and compliance with regulations and safety.

Charity Constitution 

Our Constitution was agreed at the time of the formation of the Charity using a standard template provided by the Charity Commission.

The Constitution contains the charity objectives which provide the framework within which the charity carries out its work.

The Board have day-to-day control over the charity’s operation much of which is delegated to the part time Charity Manager.

The charity is run by a Board of Trustees which is supported by a part time Charity Manager.
