Coffee & Connect: SEND Support Group
A support group for local parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs. Meets on the 2nd Monday of the month.
HI Friends offers a range of different initiatives to develop awareness and support local residents of any age who need help with their mental wellbeing. These include work in the local schools as well as other regular activities for those who would benefit.

Sophie joined the HI Friends team in 2020. A qualified social worker and counsellor, she has supported people of all ages to promote mental wellbeing.
She’s worked in mental health charities and delivers wellbeing programmes and workshops at IVC and Brook and Park Primary Schools. Being from Histon and Impington, the community’s wellbeing is especially close to her heart.

Liz provides support for parents and carers of children with with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and additional needs.
She runs a monthly SEND support group called Coffee & Connect that takes place at the Kay Hitch Way Community Centre.

Jeremy provides support and signposting for those struggling with their mental wellbeing.
Jeremy also started and runs the men’s wellbeing group Roots & Branches that takes place in the community orchard.

The Hope Again Bereavement Programme is open to all who are living with loss and offers the kind of support that is needed. It offers a chance to relax with people in similar circumstances. You might even find time to smile again.
Come to learn a new skill, practice an old skill, & find community with other local crafters. While we are caller Knit and Natter other crafts are welcome.
A 6 week wellbeing programme for Primary School children delivered in partnership with the primary schools.
