Recently, HI Friends hosted a tea party for Kay Hitch Way residents at their Community Room to mark its redecoration by the charity. This follows an agreement between HI Friends and South Cambs District Council, who own the Kay Hitch Way Community Room, for us to have extended use of the space. Local residents and a local Bridge Club will continue to meet and use the building as normal.
The increased availability of the room for HI Friends use will enable us to have our own venue for activities and services, and will be known for charity activities as the HI Friends Hub. The Village Day Centre for older residents, operated by HI Friends, now takes place at Kay Hitch Way, as does HI Friends Wellbeing Café and HI Mother’s Circle.
